Description of module content:

Revision of normal anatomy and physiology
Altered physiology to enable planning of appropriate and effective care
Systematic assessment of patients using ABCDE framework
Learn to plan rationalise and evaluate care to meet the changing needs of the acutely ill patient
Value of utilising evidence based literature, national guidelines, policies and protocols
Develop appropriate communication skills, clinical skills and manual handling skills
Develop an awareness of physical and psychological needs of all clients groups including those with mental health problems and intellectual impairment
