On completion of this module you will be able to:
LO1 explain the background and purpose of Cost Planning and Cost Control and how they interface with the stages of design and construction from inception to completion;
LO2 apply appropriate techniques to estimate for a Client the probable tender price for example new and refurbishment projects;
LO3 demonstrate an understanding of how different design solutions and construction processes impact on project cost and feasibility;
LO4 manipulate building price and cost indices and appropriate historical cost data to prepare a project Cost Plan using BCIS;
LO5 Demonstrate an understanding of how Modern Methods of Construction can contribute towards providing better value for clients when producing initial project costs.
