Tender documentation; the use of industry-standard methods of measurement in the preparation of Bills of Quantities for new work associated with structural elements, internal finishes, in situ concrete, excavation, and other relevant work sections; produce accurate 'descriptions of works' documents; develop and understanding of the documentation associated with the quantification of construction works; understand how the procurement route selected can affect the delivery of a construction project; develop detailed knowledge of quantification and estimating of construction projects using relevant ICT software.

LO1: Demonstrate an understanding of the traditional procurement route for construction works and the various types of industry-standard tendering documentation associated with both new-build and refurbishment works
LO2: Develop the ability to apply industry-standard methods of measurement of building works in the preparation of Bills of Quantities for new building work;
LO3: Develop the ability to use ICT skills appropriate to the measurement and estimating of building projects
