Description of module content:

On this module, spanning two trimesters, you will undertake and complete a substantial creative project appropriate to your programme of study. The project theme will be self generated and will be informed by a rigorous process of underpinning research leading to a significant body of work of very high standard and will include a public exhibition documenting the outcome of your project.

In negotiation with the tutorial team, you will identify and evaluate the timeframe, knowledge and resources needed to undertake the realisation of ideas, as well as the new understanding that will be generated through practice.

As an independent learner you will be expected to work autonomously throughout this project. However, you will meet regularly with your supervisor to discuss progress.

Whilst your personal project will be developed through the diligence and professionalism of your own work, you will also have opportunities to learn from others. This will include informal and formal presentations of your development work to the teaching team and peers, together with group critiques that may draw together students from the MFA Photography and all the MFA Design pathways to provide an interdisciplinary viewpoint on your work.
