Description of module content:

This module will introduce you to the key drivers for effective leadership within a sustainable health and social care context. You will explore the characteristics and qualities associated with leadership. The module addresses the core themes of leadership and change management, looking for you to consider innovative solutions to the challenges faced in delivering a sustainable healthcare service. Topics will include: sustainable healthcare, organizational behaviour and culture, leadership and management theory, Implementing and managing change within healthcare services.

Learning Outcomes for module:

LO1: Critically discuss the changing healthcare context nationally and globally in relation to sustainable healthcare service delivery.
LO2: Critically reflect on how effective leaders foster and influence an innovative culture within sustainable healthcare systems.
LO3: Apply organisational behaviour theory to the healthcare context.
