What you will learn and what this module is about:

This module enables you to acquire and practise advanced level negotiation skills and to develop the necessary linguistic facility to carry out professional negotiations in German, whether for a business or as an individual.

Description of module content:

Revision of work on complex grammar structures. Lexis, structures and culture-specific strategies for negotiation. Practice in negotiation. Research into negotiation topic and preparation for negotiation.

Learning Outcomes for module:

LO1: synthesise information from a variety of authentic German business and professional sources
LO2: present complex ideas and arguments and discuss them fluently in German.
LO3: apply German language skills in a mock business or professional negotiation
