Description of module content:

During this module you will have the opportunity to explore and demonstrate all four pillars of advanced clinical practice: Leadership, clinical practice, facilitation learning, and evidence, research, and development in order to prepare you for the role of advanced clinical practitioner. The module offers a variety of formative and summative assessment of which there are options to allow you to choose a pathway that reflects both your own learning needs and the requirements of your role. These assessments cumulate into the production of a portfolio of practice aligned the the Scottish Government Transforming Roles guidance, offering you a record that can be carried on and added to following completion of the module

LO1: Demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills and expertise across the four pillars of advanced practice.
LO2: Synthesise knowledge of education in clinical practice to demonstrate evidence-based teaching skills.
LO3: Critically appraise key theories and practice of leadership, reflecting on your own personal leadership style, personal leadership development, and its contribution to organisational effectiveness and innovation.
LO4: Synthesise knowledge of biosciences across the life course to inform advanced decision making related to clinical care.
LO5: Appraise relevant contemporary evidence and research to inform leadership and innovation in clinical practice.
