Description of module content:

This practice module will develop your practice proficiency commensurate with Part 3 of the BN programme.

This will involve deepening and broadening demonstration of a range of communication, relationship management and procedural skills and an ability to analyse and utilise evidence to inform clinical decision-making.

You will be encouraged to reflect both in action and on action in your decision-making and problem solving skills.

You will work co-productively with clients with complex problems to deliver coordinated care with an increasing ability to work autonomously and coordinate care within the context of the wider health and social care team.

You will also be leading safe, effective and person-centred care using best available evidence and liaising effectively with health and social care colleagues to assure seamless service user journeys through the health and social care system.

At each stage you will be supported and assessed by suitably trained professionals based on skills and proficiencies outlined in your Practice Assessment Document (PAD).

Learning Outcomes for module:

LO 1: Demonstrate an ability to work under indirect supervision to provide and coordinate evidence-based nursing care and
LO 2: Evaluate care delivery applying patient safety policies and guidelines
LO3: Extend and enhance clinical leadership and decision-making skills, required to care and support people with complex health needs as part of an inter-professional team
