Description of module content:

This module aims at introducing you to the new possibilities opened up by the business analytics revolution with artificial intelligence (AI) and how these can be used in the field of decision-making in business and management. You will be able to understand how different analytical techniques and AI can be used to make the best business decisions. You will learn how AI can be used as an assistant to support advanced analytical activities throughout the analytics process—from data preparation and exploration to model development, interpretation, and decision-making. You will be exposed to several decision-making fields with business analytics with AI, including management decision-making, types of managerial decision-makers, analytics in management decision-making, organizational readiness for data-driven decision-making, and decision-making with different analytical techniques and AI. You will be able to identify the right analytical approaches for different business situations and make the best decisions. You will obtain practical managerial and analytical skills using Python and AI to make business decisions for organizations in different sectors.

Face To Face Lecture 15 Lectures will present different theoretical concepts and models of decision-making with analytics and artificial intelligence connected with practicality. In-class debate and discussion: We will use different examples of decision-making with business analytics and AI-assisted data analytics, and encourage you to participate in our discussion. This will help you to develop your critical thinking and skills.
Face To Face Tutorial 10 Within the tutorial, we will have a group discussion on how to make decisions as a leader in an organisation with different analyses from data analysts. You will play two roles: as a leader of an organisation and as a data analyst.
Face To Face Practical classes and workshops 20 In workshops, we will use different databases and apply analytical techniques and artificial intelligence to understand how we can make business decisions with the results if analyses. In this case, you will use analytical software in the computer labs and focus on real business situations. You will understand the differences in decision making between AI-generated insights and traditional statistical analysis. You will be able to evaluate AI recommendations and identify potential biases in the decision making process.
Face To Face Guided independent study 155 Direct reading. You will have to read materials about specific topics before you come in the class. You will use online materials (e.g., codes, articles, textbooks, videos, etc.) to understand in depth the content of the module.

Focus on a business scenario and describe what kind of analytical techniques and artificial intelligence as an assistant tool could support this scenario.2. Explain how we can make the best management decision using artificial intelligence as an assistant tool and the results of analytical techniques.
Oral Presentation 30 2~3~4~5 Week 12 HOURS= 20 minutes You will have to do an analysis with analytical software supported with AI as an assistant tool and present a business decision as a group presentation (20 min). You will be assessed for the quality of the application analysis (60%) and the delivery and analysis demonstration (40%). The presentation will also be submitted.
