Description of module content:

You are employed as a Graduate Apprenticeship and undertake a wide range tasks during their employment in a software development or information systems context. You will learn about key communication methods within organisations and develop the fundamental skills needed to deliver effective presentations and reports within a workplace. You will develop your ability to manage your own time and to understand the basic principles of project management i.e. planning, target setting, record keeping and reporting. You will also learn the skills necessary to keep a log/journal of your workplace activities and the methods of reflection which will help you to develop.

Learning Outcomes for module:

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Apply skills and knowledge to practical problems in the workplace.

LO2: Apply team-working, decision-making, time management and communication skills in the workplace.

LO3: Conduct a programme of work over an extended period, including the associated planning, target-setting, record-keeping and reporting.
