Description of module content:

This module will help to equip you if you do not have accountancy and finance knowledge with the ability of financial decisions making in a corporate business environment. You will learn the process of evaluating business performance as well as various techniques for valuing firms/businesses. The module will also discuss the key managerial decisions. You will be exposed to various approaches for investment appraisal and capital raising. The module will offer a reflection on the contemporary issues business managers face in the current social and environmental conditions.
Learning Outcomes for module:

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Critically explore the process of evaluating business performance and firm valuation.

LO2: Analyse the critical managerial decisions (i.e., capital raising, investing and Dividend).

LO3: Evaluate and apply investment appraisal techniques available to make key managerial decisions.

LO4: Evaluate the sources and processes of raising capital in the global context.

LO5: Reflect on the contemporary issues concerning financial risks and business sustainability that business managers face.
