Description of module content:

Work placement 1 shall comprise a Trimester of satisfactory employment within a programme-related organisation. The work placement shall begin with a learning plan. This shall list the work you shall be engaged on during the placement and state how this relates to your programme-based learning. The work experience gained from the placement shall be recorded as a weekly diary. The diary entries shall document the work you have been engaged on and what you have learnt during the work placement. You shall then analyse the employer organisation's core business strengths and reflect on how the work placement has enhanced your programme-related knowledge and understanding.

Learning Log 10 1~2 Week 4 HOURS= 1000 This will comprise the weekly recording of experience gained in the workplace which must be evaluated and analysed in the context of your organisation’s overall corporate aims and objectives. This will comprise descriptions of the work tasks undertaken on a weekly basis for trimester 3 along with a commentary analysing how the activities contribute towards achieving your organisations business strategy. This diary is your opportunity to record your experience and provide evidence of your evaluation and analysis of the work-based practices of your employer’s organisation and will require to be signed-off by your employer to confirm that it is an accurate reflection of your work undertaken at the organisation.
Reflective Log 50 3~4 Week 12 , WORDS= 2500 Weekly recording of experience gained in the workplace. This will comprise descriptions of the work tasks undertaken on a weekly basis for the10 week University trimester 3 . This diary is your opportunity to record your experience and provide evidence of your evaluation and analysis of the work-based practices of your employer’s organisation.
Report 40 5~6 Exam Period , WORDS= 1500 You are to compile a Word report as your final report, demonstrating and evidencing the experience that you have gained during your work-based learning. The report can comprise text, photographs, illustrations to demonstrate successful completion of Learning Outcomes 5 & 6.
