Description of module content:

This module asks the graduate apprentice to take on the role of a consultant and work as the member of a team charged with the task of driving a major development project. Each project team shall then present the development proposal to a panel of experts who will judge the quality of the material. Each graduate apprentice shall also present an individual report on a matter of expertise specific to the pathway they are registered and conduct a self and peer group assessment of the experiences gained as members of the project team. The module shall develop the graduate apprentice's skills in group-work, time management and presentation of development project proposals to clients. It shall also enhance the development of the graduate apprentice's own subject specific skills as a turnkey aspect of the development project.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO2: Plan and manage the efforts of the team.

LO3: Contribute to the team's technical, commercial and financial appraisal of the development collectively and individually and presentation of this in appropriate oral and written format.

Face To Face Lecture 8 These lectures will set out the Module Guide and Development Brief for the Consultancy Project. They will define the terms of reference for the group-work the project is based on and contribution that each member of a team can make to the development of a sustainable community, comprised of 20-minute neighborhoods and climate strategy which drives towards net zero.
Face To Face GROUPSCHEDULED 52 Assembling the development. This groupwork shall be coordinated by a team leader, who will organize the contributions needed from each member of the team to assemble the development as a sustainable community.
Online Guided independent study 180 This involves individual members of the team working independently and reporting on a subject-specific contribution they have made to the sustainable community development.
Online Guided independent study 160 Self and Peer Group Assessment. This involves fellow members of the team assessing what others in the group have contributed to the sustainable community development.
