Principles of building heat loss:
• Thermal properties of materials
• Detailing energy efficient building
Evaluation of details and building heat loss:
• Compliance and dynamic tools to calculate building energy demand
• Evaluation of building details
Sustainable building standards:
• UK building regulations
• Current evaluation and labelling of domestic and non-domestic buildings
• The role of net zero energy buildings
Low and Zero Carbon Technologies (LZCT):
• Integration of renewable technology into buildings
• Pay-back and evaluation of LZCT
• Heating and ventilation strategies

Upon completion of this module you will be able to
