This module focuses on the development of professional practice incorporating the following
Reflection in and on practice
Critical thinking, reading and writing
Promoting best practice, accessing and using the evidence base
Development of professional ethical practice
Working with children, young people and families in the context of health care.
Development of teaching skills (seminar presentation)
Professional multidisciplinary working, learning and practice development
Promoting the best interests of children, young people and the families

LO1. Demonstrate use of reflection in and on practice to evaluate practice and disseminate new learning
LO2.Critically appraise services provided to meet the needs of children, young people and the family in hospital / community.
LO3. Discuss the need for personal practice/service development outlining change strategy required.
LO4. Demonstrate critical thinking, reading, and writing as part of the reflective process.
LO5. Evaluate the usefulness of reflection as a tool for personal practice/service development
