Description of module content:

This module develops the productions selected in the previous trimester by the festival panel (on the basis of quality and overall equality of student participation) to a public preview showing. Working in small theatre companies, you will rehearse a full festival production and perform this in a public setting. You will also work as a group to create a business and marketing plan for the production.

Face To Face Practical classes and workshops 24 Term will begin with study of business and marketing skills which will include 2 mentoring sessions for each group alongside classes. Companies will attend workshops to explore and develop new work toward your preview showing. Along with the preview showing, each company will produce an enhanced project business plan that reflects the company mission statement. The module will provide a first public showing as preparation for Edinburgh Fringe Festival presentations during August.
Online GROUPIND_STUDY 376 Your Company will rehearse extensively and prepare a preview showing of their proposed Fringe festival production to a professional standard. Additionally, each group will have 15 hours of mentor observation time throughout the module working with agreed mentors observing and giving feedback as arranged. Companies may work with an MFA Directing student and/or may work with new writing under interdisciplinary supervision.
