Description of module content:

This module defines the requirements of the End Point Assessment, which is a compulsory element to the Cyber Security Technical Professional Integrated Degree Apprenticeship. This module can only be taken once all other degree modules have been passed.
The EPA tests all the skills, knowledge and behaviours of the Standard. It is based on two distinct assessment methods, both of which must passed in order for the apprentice to pass the apprenticeship.
The two EPA methods are:
(a) A Practical Test; and
(b) A Technical Discussion (informed by a portfolio).
The whole module is a large assessment, effectively bringing together key elements from the course and from the apprenticeship experience, and evaluating them against strict guidelines as defined in the EPA documentation.

Learning Outcomes for module:

Upon completion of this module you will be able to:
LO1: Build a complex network-based system from specification through to optimisation including network-based applications using secure techniques.
LO2: Perform a physical test of a network and critically analyse the implementation.
LO3: Evaluate and critically analyse attacks and attack data targeting a defined network-based infrastructure.
LO4: Demonstrate good defensive programming techniques in the design and implementation of an application.
LO5: Produce a portfolio of the work undertaken as an apprentice, supporting the requirements of the Technical Discussion.
