Description of module content:

In this module you will continue practically exploring and gaining competency in a range of foundational skills for graphic design, expanding your knowledge and understanding of the creative design process, and basic principles of visual language, layout, and composition by working on a series of assigned coursework tasks. You will demonstrate your developing skills by designing and producing outputs for digital and physical production.

Learning Outcomes for module:

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Apply knowledge, skills and understanding to use a range of basic and routine professional skills and techniques to research, develop and create graphic design concepts.

LO2: Demonstrate an appreciation of the importance of process within design work, through documentation and presentation of your own working process throughout the module.

LO3: Demonstrate and work with an awareness of basic graphic design principles of visual language, layout, and composition.

LO4: Use a range of approaches to address defined problems and issues within the contexts of specified design tasks.

LO5: Demonstrate development of routine graphic design production and craft skills to create graphic design outputs for digital and physical production.
