Description of module content:

In this module you will learn how to shape large scale services and products. The module will discuss service ecosystems and how to build and evaluate them. You will gain knowledge of different types of system experiences and their make up.You will learn how to understand, evaluate and design for systems experience, considering all stakeholders.You will gain fundamental knowledge in the design of policy and how this can be conducted in an equitable and inclusive manner.

Learning Outcomes for module:

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Demonstrate a critical understanding of the key principles of service ecosystems and methods for building them.

LO2: Develop original solutions to policy design and design for services at scale.

LO3: Demonstrate an understanding of how to practice the evaluation of service design in situations that may be unpredictable and hard to navigate.

LO4: Communicate with peers, colleagues and specialists tactics for designing and evaluating services at scale.

Face To Face Lecture 20 A series of lectures discussing Building Service Ecosystems Evaluating Services, how to understand Systems Experience from varied points of view and designing policy.
Face To Face Practical classes and workshops 20 A series of practical classes and workshops that will investigate the application of the methods discussed in the lectures. These workshops will discuss the practice of services at scale employing case studies and class exercises. During the workshops and practicals, you will receive formative feedback on assessments.
Online Guided independent study 160 Independent study exploring literature and themes presented in class as well as preparing for and responding to practical classes and workshops.
