There are no pre-requisites for this module to be added

The module will consist of six main parts:i) Develop C programming skills for use in programmable devices.ii) Construct and fault find an electronic circuit.iii) The use of the schematic capture part of the package to produce professional level circuit diagramsiv) The use of a simulator to predict and verify the performance of the circuit designed in the previous stage.v) The use of the layout capability of the package to produce a physical representation of the circuit captured and simulated in the previous stages.vi) Generate the data, build and test the circuit designed using in-house capabilities.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Develop C programming skills for electronic devices.

LO2: Simulate and test operation of an electronic circuit based on a schematic diagram.

LO3: Layout in an appropriate fashion on a correctly sized PCB an electronic circuit with components and interconnects.

LO4: Generate a set of manufacturing data for an electronic circuit and its PCB.

LO5: Build and test electronic circuits, demonstrating correct operation.

LO6: Use a commercial ECAD package to capture, simulate and generate appropriate data.
