Description of module content:

This module will provide you with opportunities to develop and demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of Leadership and Change Management for Digital Transformation. The content will focus on critical components such as the differences between leadership styles (e.g., transactional, transformational, etc.); the skills required for enabling transformational features of leaders; commitment, loyalty, and satisfaction of followers; contingencies and implications, and the dark side of leadership styles.This module is designed in a way that supports your diverse needs as learners, including those from different academic and professional backgrounds, part-time students, and working professionals, with tailored learning support available to ensure inclusivity and accessibility. Leveraging learning technologies––such as Mentimeter and Moodle––the module creates an engaging and flexible educational experience, enabling you to access resources and participate in activities both on-campus and online. Assessment strategies combine formative activities to provide ongoing feedback and support learning progression, alongside summative assessments designed to evaluate and consolidate your knowledge and skills effectively.

Online Guided independent study 170 You will engage in self-guided exploration of digital transformation leadership. Independent learning is emphasised through critical evaluation and strategic application both individually and through group work.
Face To Face Lecture 10 10 x one-hour lectures spread over 12 weeks to provide structured learning opportunities and theoretical grounding to support the module's independent learning objectives.
Face To Face Tutorial 20 10 x two-hour, in-person tutorials delivering practical application of the theory covered in the lectures. These will serve to reinforce and clarify concepts, providing you with a space for collaborative discussion and application of your independent learning.

This assessment is designed to be flexible and offers choices to support various learning styles and preferences. For your artefact, you will have the possibility to choose between a digital poster (max 1,000 words) or a video (max 5 minutes). In either cases, the artefact will have to be submitted online (as a PDF, Powerpoint, JPG/PNG image, Adobe, MP4 or any other video format file).
