Description of module content:

In this module, you will explore the foundational elements that underpin entrepreneurial ventures and their critical role in sustaining economic dynamism. You will delve into the entrepreneurial mindset, learning how entrepreneurial thinking and aspirations drive innovation and business success. Through the study of successful entrepreneurs, you will gain insights into how these role models have navigated challenges and turned ideas into thriving ventures.The module takes you through the comprehensive process of business planning, from idea generation and prototyping to development and evaluation. You will learn to identify and assess market opportunities, with practical exposure to key market players, and understand how to position your business effectively through segmentation, targeting, and differentiation strategies.A significant focus will be placed on the resources required to bring a venture to life. You will examine how to secure essential inputs such as equipment, staffing, and finance, as well as how to create a compelling Marketing Mix that incorporates all 7 Ps to ensure competitive advantage.Financial planning is a key component of this module, equipping you with the skills to produce detailed financial statements based on realistic assumptions. You will also explore the growth ambitions typical of entrepreneurs, understanding how these aspirations influence strategy and decision-making in a business context.By the end of this module, you will have a clear understanding of the entrepreneurial journey, the tools to develop viable business ideas, and the ability to create strategies that drive growth and sustainability in a competitive environment.
