Description of module content:

The module considers some of the wider societal and environmental risks affecting firms. Theoretical perspectives are considered, including The Social Contract and Stakeholder theories. Key risks are analysed such as climate change, resource depletion, stranded asset risk. The reporting of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues are considered and also the integration of ethical decision making within organisational structures.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Critically assess ethical approaches to business and risk management.

LO2: Critique approaches to, and limitations of, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting.

LO3: Analyse firm risk in the context of broader sustainability considerations.
