Description of module content:

This module aims to develop your risk assessment skills and necessary expertise in project risk management principles and practice. The module will explore key areas and concepts to explore the complexity and ambiguity characterised by projects. Projects are increasingly used as a way of solving complex problems and tasks and the phenomenon of 'projectification' has emerged across organisations in all sectors. Applying theory and practice (for example critical path analysis, project planning), you will critically evaluate project risks using strategic tools designed for project management.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Critically analyse the principles and practices of project management.

LO2: Critically apply the qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques of risk analysis.

LO3: Critically examine and analyse the effects of risk and crisis from different sectors and synthesise solutions from a managerial level.

LO4: Critically evaluate risk-benefit and analysis, and the need for compliance processes.
