Learning, Teaching and Assessment (LTA) Approach:
Learning & Teaching methods including their alignment to LOs
Weekly tutorials to include lecture material and a mixture of group and individual practical activities covering drawing and sketching techniques and discussion activities. (LO 1, 2, 4)
Weekly practical based in computer lab to cover practical techniques including digital art techniques. (LO 1, 2, 3)
Face to face contact will be supplemented with Moodle and web resources. Students will be expected to complete independent study exercises that will be built on in class. (LO 1-4)



Formative Assessment:
Formative
Student assessment will take the form of project-based continuous assessment mapped to learning outcomes 1, 2, 3 and 4. Students are expected to do further independent and directed study. Informal feedback on student work will be provided on a weekly basis during practical sessions.
Formalised formative feedback based on the submissions will be given in week 8, which will guide and assist students in the subsequent production phase of their work due for submission in week 14. In addition students will take part in a group critique as part of their assessment and will be expected to reflect on this feedback during the second part of their coursework.

Exploration of relevant concept and traditional art.

Sketching and drawing techniques.
