Description of module content:

The module will focus on Branding, Brand Management and Brand Communication; you will be introduced to these brand functions and their role and contribution to building and communicating the Brand. You will be introduced to the history and development of Brands and how contemporary Brands attempt to distinguish themselves within their markets. You will develop your understanding of how Brands build relationships with consumers and communicate brand values & attributes via brand aesthetics (e.g. Logo's, advertising & digital communication) and communication campaigns such as Advertising & Public Relations. You will work on communication for brand campaigns including creative brand development.

LO1: Demonstrate knowledge of the development of Branding and Brand Management
LO2: Demonstrate an appreciation for the role and impact of Branding and Brand Communication on the relationship between Brand Identity & Image
LO3: Demonstrate an understanding for the role and impact of Branding and Brand Communication on consumer brand perception in relation to purchasing decisions
