You may be asked to work on advertising (perhaps designing creative solutions for small businesses); internal communication strategies (this may consist of internal research within an organisation and proposing a new strategy for communicating with staff, or perhaps working on redesigning internal newsletters, magazines etc). Or it could be that you are working on corporate communication issues (such as designing a logo and brand identity, working on external communication methods such as magazines). Your individual and group contribution to these types of practical work will be relative to your role and its function within your team with your responsibility being to contribute as a proactive and effectively engaged member. This will include the development of your knowledge/theory and practical skills related to managing small groups/teams in partnership with the rest of your project/management team.
