Learning Outcomes for module:

LO1: Outline the NMC Standards of Competence relevant to the clinical setting.
LO2: Under supervision, participate in the range of essential nursing skills required to care for people with complex physical health needs.
LO3: Under supervision participate in the nursing care of people with complex physical health care needs.
LO4: Under supervision promote health and safety by contributing to the on going assessment of risk within this care group including an awareness of the chain of infection and hand hygiene.
LO5: Begin to interpret sociological and psychological theory to learning disability practice.
LO6: Develop an awareness of legislation relevant to nursing people with a learning disability
