In this module you will begin to develop your field specific identity through exploration and reflection of the historic and evolving role of the learning disability nurse. You will build on your understanding of nursing professional values and how the distinct values of learning disability nursing align to, and are underpinned by these. You will develop an understanding of the nursing process and how assessment and evaluation of care is structured and measured through evidence based approached and how this is informed by different models of nursing appropriate to learning disability nursing.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to
