Upon completion of this module you will be able to: LO1: Based on best evidence, demonstrate skills in managing the provision of high quality, person centred, safe and effective nursing care in the community with people with learning disabilities and their family/carers in accordance with The Code (NMC 2008).LO2: Apply knowledge and critical understanding of physiological, psychological, sociological and pathological factors that influence the health and well-being of people with learning disabilities.LO3: Discuss the application of legal and ethical principles in practice, particularly around child and adult protection, human rights, health inequalities and social inclusion. LO4: Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multi-professional team, including respectful partnership working with other agencies which highlights good communication and interpersonal skills.LO5: Following assessment, formulate, document and evaluate an individualised plan of care in partnership with a person with learning disabilities and/or their families/carers within a community setting.LO6: Demonstrate an ability to critically reflect on own practice, particularly around leadership, team working, teaching and where appropriate the supervision of others.
