Description of module content:

On this module you will be exploring, considering, questioning, experimenting with, and producing work around, the genre of Landscape Photography. Through lectures and demonstrations you will be introduced to the work of established practitioners alongside the theories, concepts and principles of Landscape Photography. In a series of exercises you will engage with the technical skills and equipment used. Research and experimentation will be recorded in creative workbooks, promoting critical thinking and reflective practice. Tutorials, seminars and group critiques will provide formative feedback and assist in developing a final project as a resolved body of work.You will have the opportunity to examine and engage in projects relating to a specialist area of photographic practice. The knowledge, skills and attributes employed in your practice are central to: creativity, self motivation and flexibility; self awareness and reflection, allowing you to evaluate your own learning, performance and achievements; the development of an individual practice which suits your interests and aspirations; the effective use of key intellectual, specialist and transferable skills; and a knowledge of the professional requirements of a chosen specialism.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to
