Description of module content:

On this module, you will develop a breadth of specialist and creative methodologies designed to expand your knowledge and working practise of photographic portraiture. You will work individually and in groups on a series of creative and practical portrait briefs leading to a final creative project. Lectures, tutorials and critical peer-to-peer learning and feedback will facilitate your continued analytical exploration of issues around subjectivity, identity and visual representation. Production of a workbook will further develop your knowledge of applications of theory and context and documents your research, experimentation and organisation of your work.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Develop insight into the main theories, concepts and principles of portrait photography.

LO2: Consider and explore a range of practical skills and techniques in photographic practice to interpret and realise ideas.
