You will be trained in the range of creative, technical, and production management roles required for contemporary multi-camera studio production, including directing, producing, vision mixing, camera operation, sound, lighting, floor management, graphics, and production coordination. In groups you will work collaboratively on a series of formative studio-based tasks, developing the skills and workflows required to produce a multi-item programme. Throughout the module, you will reflect on your own progress and document the development of your practical skills, professional practice, and understanding of the evolving broadcast and media production industries in a production log.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Demonstrate understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a professional television studio crew.

LO2: Collaborate as part of a television production team and apply knowledge of the technical skills required for filming, including multi-camera operation, sound recording, vision mixing and editing.

LO3: Produce a multi-item programme and demonstrate television production skills for a range of different studio-based programmes.

LO4: Critically reflect on current professional practice in TV studio and multi-camera production.
