Description of module content:

On this module you will develop a number of strands of creative and practice work for broadcast and multi-platform production, some of which will progress to production in Trimester 2 as your Final Year Project. On this module you will extend the knowledge, skills and understanding attained in the Production and Development modules at Level 9 in order to research and devise a suitable production idea for further development in Tri 1 and production in Trimester 2. Your work will involve ideas research; writing treatments; format and script development and storyboarding.
On this module you will work individually and collectively to devise and plan the projects which you will undertake as final year projects in Trimester 2. There will be workshops and tutorials to enable you to assemble the skills required in order to organise and deliver a project at a high standard of creative practice in broadcast and multi-platform production, as agreed with the Module Leader.

Learning Outcomes for module:

LO1: Individually or as part of a small team, devise and develop an idea for production, suitable for a final project with realistic industry relevant delivery or distribution outcomes.
LO2: Demonstrate professional production management and development skills and working appropriate to television and multi-platform content production.
LO3: Anticipate and assemble required planning and logistics for the production, with a focus relevant to intended your role.
LO4: Apply effective communication methods, across the development process with production team and members of the public (as contributors, cast, research, specialists, suppliers).
LO5: Critically reflect on new developments in broadcast and multi-platform content delivery relevant to the genres associated with your intended Final Project.
