Face To Face | External visits | 6 | External visits to (1) Edinburgh College engineering facilities and (2) local engineering company. Together with tour of Napier labs, these provide insight into engineering testing and industry. |
Online | Guided independent study | 160 | Overseen by the ML, students undertake independent study guided by technician staff looking at use & principles of machinery, together with H&S (LO1,2 &3). The logbook is the guidance documents. The ML guides study towards LO4 helped by the Guest Lecturer, contacts in the university (e.g. Student Futures) and industry contacts. |
