Description of module content:

Computer Integrated manufacturing - the sub-functions, systems and technologies involved
Production planning and control systems.
Manufacturing management.
Advanced manufacturing systems: automation, robotics, vision, inspection, machining, group technology, flexible manufacturing cells and systems, work handling systems.

On completion of this module you will be able to:
LO1: analyse and design flexible manufacturing cells and systems
LO2: analyse and optimise layout and process design.
LO3: design and analyse material handling for advanced manufacturing systems.
