Description of module content:

You will examine and critique educational theory and concepts related to leadership of learning, learner feedback, online learning, learner engagement, learning resources, equality and diversity, teaching groups and curriculum planning, design and refinement. You will then apply these pedagogic theories and concepts, and your learning from Contexts of Music Education or previous education experience, to the design and deployment of a practical education-based project. Your project could be situated in 1-1 instrumental lessons, workshops, group classes, lecture series etc. or other music education setting you wish to investigate. Classes will provide the opportunity to showcase and try out practical elements of your project in a supportive environment. You will receive peer and tutor feedback to help you refine your practice before you deploy them in a ‘live’ teaching setting within your project.
