Description of module content:

This module is the first of three modules situated in a spiral curriculum of interprofessional practice, spanning all pre-registration health and social care programs ( three year Bachelors and two year pre-registration masters programs) . Each module focuses on one of three key competences; Common (held by all professions); complementary (important to one profession but complementing competences of others) and; collaborative (enabling each profession to work collaboratively and effectively with others). This suite of modules aims to foster and develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours that enable effective interprofessional team working and collaboration. As such, students will be encouraged to engage in learning interactions between different professions to explore these key competencies. In this first module, students will explore and develop their own professional identity , personal responsibility for safe practice in their particular professional role.
