Learning, Teaching and Assessment (LTA) Approach: |
The LTA approach for this module is a fully online module. The module will utilise online lecture sessions which will include supported discussion forums (L01-5). Teaching will be focused around small group-work and facilitated whole class discussions supported by trigger short lectures that focus on the core content of the module. The virtual learning environment (VLE) – known as ‘Moodle’ will be used. The units in Moodle will shadow the research process in a sequential order to guide you through the module content in a paced manner (LOs 1 to 5). There will be on-line lectures and activities which are themed in relation to module content and learning outcomes while maintaining and utilising the opportunities for you to apply what you learn to your practice (LO4 -5). Asynchronous discussions with peers and the lecturer will support your learning and end of unit activities will be provided to promote active learning (LOs 1-5). The use of Moodle in this module gives greater flexibility so you can choose to learn at a time which suits your online tutorials with academic tutors will offer the opportunity for you to get together with fellow students in small groups to learn through interactive teaching sessions which aim to build on the content of the VLE/ Moodle (LOs 1 to 5).
