This practice module will develop your practice proficiency commensurate with Part 3 of the BN programme. This will involve demonstrating your readiness to transition to the role of a registered nurse in your field of practiceYou will demonstrate your ability to practice independently and confidently in delivering, coordinating and leading safe, effective, person-centred care.You will engage effectively in inter-professional team working demonstrating a high level of proficiency in communication, relationship management and procedural skills. You will work co-productively with clients with complex problems to deliver coordinated care with an increasing ability to work autonomously and coordinate care within the context of the wider health and social care team.You will also be leading safe, effective and person-centred care using best available evidence and liaising effectively with health and social care colleagues to assure seamless service user journeys through the health and social care system.You will demonstrate in depth knowledge of governance risk assessment, and management, quality processes, service evaluation, service improvement and the impact these have on service design and delivery. You will support and supervise junior staff demonstrating your knowledge of professional and organisational values and ability to teach others.At each stage you will be supported and assessed by suitably trained professionals based on skills and proficiencies outlined in your Practice Assessment Document (PAD).

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Demonstrate knowledge and proficiencies consistent with readiness to transition to registered nurse including ability to support and supervise junior staff.

LO2: Demonstrate your ability to coordinate and lead the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care as part of health and social care teams.

LO3: Demonstrate professional accountability and confident and autonomous working practices within the boundaries of the NMC code.

LO4: Interpret policies and guidance on governance risk assessment, and management, quality processes, service evaluation, service improvement and the impact these have on service design and delivery.

LO5: Demonstrate communication, relationship management and procedural skills commensurate with Part 3 of BN Programme.
