Registered Nurse/ Midwife with one year’s post registration experience

Description of module content:

This module will explore effective relationship building, self management of learning, assessment of learning, strategies for evaluating learning and assessment, leadership skills required to create an appropriate learning environment, application of evidence to learning and assessment, models of teaching, facilitation and supervision.

Learning Outcomes for module:

LO1: Explore appropriate learning, teaching and assessment strategies that could be employed to promote and facilitate learning in practice for a range of learners, in order to maximise their individual potential
LO2: Evaluate best available evidence and practice in supporting and assessing learning in practice
LO3: Apply knowledge and skills in relation to change management to ensure that the learning environment is supportive and effective for learners
LO4: Critically reflect on the processes involved in supporting and managing a learner who is failing to required standards and outcomes.
