Description of module content:

The module is structured in two intimately related parts. The first part is a theoretical exploration of concepts of the self and intersubjectivity. The second part draws on the theoretical explorations of the first part to explore contemporary issues related to psychology.

Critical psychology is strongly theoretical and, consequently, this module is very text based. The texts studied on the module are not very long, but some of them are very challenging. Through the module you will develop your understanding of the relation between theory and practice and your skills in analysing and responding thoughtfully to complex texts and ideas.
