Description of module content:

The aims of this module are: 1) To further develop competencies in research design, data collection, and data analysis. 2) To develop skills in designing research dissemination strategies. 3) To gain experience of submitting research for peer review. 4) To gain experience of presenting research to diverse audiences. 5) To further develop skills of reflective practice in the context of research.

This blended module allows students to complete a 40 credit research project in forensic psychology. In addition to conducting and writing up their research, students will also create a dissemination plan for their work which includes identifying a journal suitable for publishing their findings, producing a poster, and considering stakeholders. Students will be supported by online content, face-to-face classes, and synchronous meetings with their research supervisor. Formative feedback on project drafts and dissemination strategies will be provided by the project supervisor at scheduled points in the trimester.
