Over the course of the module you will distinguish between the roles of leadership and management in a professional sporting context. You will consider a range of leadership abilities, skills and important elements (such as establishing an effective culture and managing conflict) associated with leading or working as part of a team.
Learning Outcomes for module:

LO1: Develop an understanding and awareness of key leadership theories and management practices in a sporting context.

LO2: Analyse the dynamics associated with effective team function, such as roles within the team, conflict management and establishing an effective culture

LO3: Align your professional and personal developmental needs with selected coaching themes/models to enhance individual practice.

LO4: Critically observe and reflect on effective leadership behaviours, within yourself and others, and the impact of these leadership behaviours on athlete development
