Description of module content:

• Programme and project lifecycles – definition, planning, execution, and control in a changing environment

• Methodologies and approaches to project and programme management – PRINCE2, MSP. Agile

• Techniques & procedures – risk management, resource planning, configuration management

• Management of scope and change control within a solution delivery context

• Approaches to planning, estimation, modelling and quality

• Evaluation of current use project/programme management and whether it is “fit for purpose”

• Planning for successful implementation of a change project/programme.

• Reflective practice – using different models and frameworks to maximise organisational performance

Learning Outcomes for module:

Upon completion of this module you will be able to:

LO1: Develop a critical understanding of project and programme management practice and its impact in a change environment.

LO2: Formulate a learning agreement which applies project/programme management best practice to a live workplace issue.

LO3: Identify an area in which current project/programme management practice needs improvement, analyse the situation, apply an improvement action plan and identify how to evaluate its effectiveness.

LO4: Critically reflect on learning using an appropriate model of reflective practice.
