Description of module content:

The purpose of this module is for you to demonstrate your ability to develop and implement a project in the field of business management. Completing the undergraduate project will provide you with the opportunity to apply the knowledge, research skills, and analytical tools you have acquired from previous modules in the programme. Your learning on this module will be experiential and problem-based, focusing on discovering, questioning, and critically reflecting upon a real-world business problem. The output of this module will include a research proposal, a comprehensive project report and a pre-recorded narrated PowerPoint presentation. You will be guided through the project development process by tutors in small groups, ensuring support and collaboration throughout your learning journey.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to

LO1: Identify and describe a current business challenge faced by an organisation operating in today’s dynamic business environment.

LO2: Explore a business problem by reviewing relevant academic sources, industry reports, and practitioner insights.

Independent Learning Practical classes and workshops 10 In the first trimester of this module, you will have a weekly scheduled live academic session online. These sessions align with the course learning content that are provided in Moodle. The interactive sessions will cover different analytical methods that are applied to qualitative or/and quantitative secondary data to solve business challenge faced by an organisation operating in today’s dynamic business.
Online Guided independent study 380 You will use this time to study online material and do prescribed reading for each unit and prepare for your project proposal in first trimester of study and a Applied Honours Project Report, including presentation, in second trimester of study. Your independent learning will involve learning contents in Moodle.
Independent Learning Practical classes and workshops 10 In the second trimester of this module, you will attend series of weekly report meetings with your supervisor in a group to discuss project progress and you will have opportunity of ask questions and receive feedback on your work.

Oral Presentation 20 1~2~3~4 Week 13 HOURS= 10 minutes In the second trimester of this module, you will create a pre-recorded, narrated PowerPoint presentation that summarises your report and discusses the key recommendations derived from your analysis (maximum of 10 slides and 10 minutes).
Project - Written 20 1~2 Week 13 , WORDS= 1500 words In the first trimester of this module, you will identify a business challenge faced by an organisation operating in today’s dynamic business environment.
