Description of module content:

This module serves as the foundational entry point into the MBA programme. It is designed to engage you as active learners—both individually and collaboratively—while examining contemporary perspectives on business and leadership and establishing a comprehensive understanding of core business functions.Through case studies, group discussions, and applied exercises, you will integrate theory with practice, develop analytical and leadership capabilities, and prepare for more specialised modules within the programme. The curriculum introduces fundamental concepts across the key areas of organisational behaviour, strategy, finance, marketing, and operations, providing a cohesive framework for understanding how businesses operate and compete in dynamic environments.By the end of the module, you will have acquired the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to engage effectively with subsequent MBA modules and to contribute meaningfully in professional business contexts.

In this report, you are expected to apply the knowledge gained from lectures and tutorials to critically evaluate key business functional areas, the company's internal and external environment, and its business strategy.
