Description of module content:

You will undertake a substantial independent programme of research. This is both challenging and rewarding. You will be able to put into practice skills you have acquired throughout your degree and can choose a topic in an area that interests you (subject to academic restrictions). Under the supervision of a member of MDIS academic staff, you will identify an appropriate research question, and will then design, carry out, analyse, interpret and write up the findings of your project. The module has a minimal taught component additional to individual tuition with your supervisor. You will work individually with a Singapore based supervisor to finalise your proposals, plan, carry out and write up your research. This module will focus on you writing your honours project, building on the Preparation for Honours Project module in which you will have decided your topic, gained ethical approval for your project (if required) and presented your theory and literature to your supervisor.
