Description of module content:

The general purpose of this module is to help you develop personal and professional skills in a workplace environment, and in line with your current students and skills development. This will be achieved through setting objectives, experiential learning, and reflective practice.As a Graduate Apprentice, you will undertake an evaluation of your organisations' needs and objectives. Through a learning agreement you will specify how these objectives will be achieved in the workplace and how they will be evidence through your actions and reflections. You will learn about key communication methods within organisations and develop the fundamental skills needed to deliver effective presentations and reports within a workplace. You will develop your ability to manage your own time and to understand the basic principles of project management i.e. planning, target setting, record keeping and reporting. You will also learn the skills necessary to keep a log/journal of your workplace activities and the methods of reflection which will help you to develop.This module acts as a stepping stone for Professional Practice 2 and Professional Practice 3, where you will perfect your knowledge and skills in relation to your workplace environment and your current studies.

Upon completion of this module you will be able to
