| Report | 40 | 1~2 | Week 7 | , WORDS= 1,500 | Once you have received feedback upon your Plan, you are then required to go on to prepare your Report for submission in Week 7.You are required to discuss the key issues and considerations that ought to be included in a feasibility study relating to proposed works to develop a selected type of hospitality, tourism, or events operation (e.g. restaurant, visitor attraction, or events venue). To answer this question, imagine that you are currently employed by a tourism, hospitality, or events organisation that is looking to develop a new operation (e.g., restaurant, visitor attraction, or events venue). Before investing in a feasibility study for this project, however, the organisation would first like to compile a report that presents an overview of the benefits and limitations of a feasibility study and identifies any key issues or considerations that would need to be addressed in the subsequent study. You are the staff member tasked with writing this report. The report must be focused on a type of hospitality, tourism, or events operation. This may be either a completely new development, the renovation of an existing facility, or the provision of additional facilities and/or services. The report should be 1,500 (excluding appendices) (+/- 10%). Within the report, you must address the following:1. A brief overview of what is meant by a feasibility study and its role and purpose.2, A more detailed discussion of key issues and considerations that may arise within the first two stages of the property development process (e.g., concept and design; finance, market, and legislation).Your report must use relevant theory and concepts covered in the first half of the module (Lectures 1-5), should show evidence of engaging with academic literature, and evidence of analysis and critique.Remember that you are not undertaking the feasibility study itself (and therefore no primary data should be used!).Your work should be structured in a report format and therefore must include the following:• Cover page• All pages should be numbered, and a table of contents included • An introduction and conclusion• The body of the report should be referenced in APA 6 style and with a full reference list at the end of the report• Appendices (if needed) |
| Report | 10 | 1~2 | Week 4 | , WORDS= 500 words | The continuous assessment component in respect of this module takes the form of aReport for which there are two weighted marks, namely 10% for a Report Plan, due inWeek 4, and 40% for a Final Submission, due in Week 7. You are required to submit a 500 word (+/- 10%) (excluding references) plan of your report which comprises the following:- Assignment cover sheet including: module number and title, the subject of the assignment (i.e. 'Report Plan'); the title of your selected report; the names of staff to whom the assignment is being submitted for marking; the date of submission; your matriculation number, name and programme of study- An outline of what you intend to discuss within each section of your report:• Introduction• Main discussion• Conclusion• Indicative references |
